As many ports in Ukraine are in lockdown, Ukrainian steel and raw materials suppliers are finding alternative channels to transport their products. Constanta Port is one of their choices. But infrastrature around it is a major problem to expand transportation volume.

As a farm products transportation center, Constanta Port has attracted the attention of many steel and raw materials suppliers. Last month, port operator Comvex transported about 160,000 tons of iron ores from Ukraine through the ore dock, and it signed an individual contract with an Ukrainian manufacturer to transport up to 180,000 iron ore.

However, Constanta Port isn't the cure-all. First, taking the escalation of Russia-Ukraine Conflict into consideration, it now foucus on farm products since the word is on the fringe of food crisis. In addition, infrastructure there including railway connection is another limit.
