Composition of barium silicon inoculants
Composition of barium silicon inoculants
Barium silicon inoculant is a bulk metallurgical material formed by mixing silicon powder and barium powder in proportion to demand, and then steelmaking through high-temperature furnaces. It is an additive in the casting process of the foundry, which can promote graphitization, reduce the tendency of white mouth, graphite morphology and distribution, increase the number of eutectic groups, refine the characteristics of the matrix tissue, and it has a good effect in a short period of time after incubation treatment (about 5-8 minutes). What is the content of silicon barium inoculant ingredients:
Silicon barium inoculant content:
Ba: 1-2%,Ca 1-2%,Si 70-72%,Al 1-2%
Ba: 4-6%,Ca 1-2%,Si 65-70%,Al 1-2%
Ba: 2%-5%, Ca: around 1.5%, Si: 68%-72%
Silicon barium inoculant commonly used particle size: 0.2-0.8mm, 1-3 mm, 3-8mm, 8-15mm can also be customized;
0-0.25mm: for in-mold incubation (higher efficiency);
0.2-1mm: for inoculation with current (the control of the amount of gestation is more accurate);
1-3mm, 3-8mm for in-package incubation (gestation time must be controlled at more than 70% of the iron production time);
8-15mm for in-furnace incubation.
Silicon barium inoculant packaging: generally packed separately in 25 kg sachets, and then packed in tons of bags on the outside.
