Turkish scrap

This week, due to weak sales of finished steel, the import price of scrap steel from Turkish steel mills continued to decline. The latest order for deep-sea scrap from Turkish steel mills shows that a steel mill in northern Turkey ordered one vote of HMS1&2 (90:10) scrap for $335/ton.

Japanese scrap

On June 25, the purchase price of iron scrap steel in Tokyo, Japan, ushered in the eighth wave of decline in June: the purchase price of the Utsunomiya plant (land transportation) was 55,500 yen / ton (about 2,758 yuan / ton), down about 224 yuan / ton from the beginning of the month. Since June 20, the Incheon plant and the Pohang plant in South Korea have stopped production and maintenance, and the Japanese scrap has been restricted after it has been exported, and the local scrap supply has been oversupplied, and the price has continued to decline.

Recycled steel raw materials in China

In May 2022, 29,800 tons of recycled steel raw materials were imported, an increase of 17.04% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 74.05%. Among them, 23,600 tons of recycled steel raw materials were imported from Japan, accounting for 79.39% of the total imports in May, and 0.32 million tons were imported from South Korea, accounting for 10.73% of the total imports in May.
