How to control the dosage of inoculant
How to control the dosage of inoculant
How is the dosage of inoculant controlled:
1. Ductile iron generally adds more inoculant than gray cast iron;
2. If the iron solution after conception treatment has a long pouring time, the amount of addition should be increased due to the decline of gestation;
3. Thin-walled castings are easy to produce white mouths, and the amount of inoculant added should increase accordingly;
4. When there is more slag in the molten iron, because the inoculant will be wrapped and difficult to melt once it comes into contact with the slag, the amount of addition increases accordingly;
5. Excessive addition of inoculating agent will lead to problems such as excessive slag, reduced temperature of molten iron and shrinkage of cattle produced by eutectic groups. If the inoculant block is too large, it will not be able to uniformly breed the iron liquid, and the unmelted inoculant will be poured into the cavity; If the block is too small, it is easy to oxidize and cause slag, and it is also prone to gestation decline.
