Metallurgical manganese development process
Manganese plays a great role in some industries, what is its discovery and development process? Let's take a look:
In 1774, Gunn of Sweden, heated in a crucible with soft manganese ore, found a large manganese grain.
Manganese is an element that is widely distributed in the Earth's crust. Its oxide ore, pyrolice ore, has long been known and utilized by ancient people. However, until the 1770s, Western chemists still believed that pyrolite was a mineral containing tin, zinc and cobalt.
In the second half of the 18th century, the Swedish chemist T.O. Bergmann studied pyrolite as a new metal oxide. He had tried to separate the metal, but without success. Scheler also did not extract metal from the soft manganese ore, so he turned to his friend and Bergmann's assistant, Gann. In 1774, Gann separated the metallic manganese. Bergman named it mangaese (manganese). Its Latin name manganum and element symbol Mn are derived from this.
From this we can know that any product or substance that wants to develop must go through some process, as long as it really has potential, we can be sure of its value!
Our company sells ferromanganese, 65#, 72# and other products, if you understand better, you can consult with us Kangxin International Metallurgical!
